"Oh cool, I hope we get to build a bomb or something." (he was obviously referring to 4th of July- but nevertheless I got a good laugh from it)

7-6-09**Dialogue between Matt and Hunter- Hunter is in the bath and as I'm washing him and he is squeezing his hands together squirting soap through them and concentrating very hard on this. Matt comes home from work and comes into the bathroom.
Matt: "Hey guys"
Hunter: "Hey Dahyee, Cobin and me bein bad" (says it very matter of factly as his eyes narrow to concentrate on the soap between his fingers and squirts right at me grazing my cheek...)

Corbin got a pencil topper today from the cookie cereal we get for them. It is an Ice Age one and he has been itching to get that toy from the box. When he finally was able to get it out, he exclaimed,
"This is the best day of my life" (a saying that comes out of his mouth almost everyday for the simplest things that life has to offer... oh to see life through the eyes of a kid)

7-12-09- Corbin and I were discussing the importance of going on a mission today in the car. I told him that Heavenly Father really wants the young men in the church to serve a mission when they get older, but they have to make right choices throughout their life or they won't be able to go. I just said that he needs to stay clean by not drinking or smoking or doing other things that are not pleasing to our Father in Heaven. He cut me off before I completed the sentence and said:
"Like Mountain Dew? Mountain Dew is not good for kids"
I paused for a second and agreed with him- I figure he's still young, so we'll just stick to not drinking Mountain Dew for now. :) Don't you just love the innocence of children?

We're hanging with Leah and her kids today and in the back of the van Corbin and Anna are talking about limos. Anna claimed to have seen a limo at a school somewhere and Corbin's reply was this (he was serious and very matter-of-fact):
"I bet it was probably the Jonas Brothers"

10-16-09
Corbin and Hunter were fighting and we were riding in Nana's car. Here's how the conversation went:
Nana: "Hunter, do you want an knuckle sandwich?!"
Hunter: "No, I want chicken nuggets"
_______________
Name calling is never good, but I do have to hand it to Hunter with creativity. Here are some examples that he regularly uses or has recently used:
He got really mad a Corbin one day in the car and exclaimed, "hush yo mouth, Cobin, you fire head poo poo puppy!"
Corbin thinks Lady Ga Ga is weird and frequently tells us this, so apparently Hunter thought it would be an okay to use this.
"Leave me lone, Lady Ga Ga!"
Hunter also loves Night at the Museum- it took me a while to get where this particular name came from... (and he uses this one with the most frequency)
"Go Way, Hopscotch!"
And of course the ever popular- "Stinky_____" and "Poopy____"
_______________
1-28-10
We're in the van and that Beyonce song comes on where she sings, "If I were a boy, even just for the day..." Corbin says after a second listening to the song:
"I think this singer is a tomboy."
I agreed because I didn't feel like explaining, but I did giggle quite a bit!
_______________
I had to cut Hunter's fingernails because they were so long and this is how our conversation went:
Me: "Hunter, I need to clip your fingernails because you have claws."
Hunter: "Yeah, cause I have Santa Claws"
_______________
1-31-10 Hunter came running into the kitchen this morning:
Hunter: "Mommy, my nose is falling!"
Me: "What do you mean your nose is falling?"
Hunter: " Quick, get a tissue and wipe it!"
_______________
Hunter's really into saying "I love you" these days... Conversation in the van on the way to preschool this morning (3/31/10)
Hunter (talking over the music): "I wuv you, Mommy."
Me: "I love you, too, Hunter."
Hunter: "I know- It makes me so happy."
_______________
Corbin: "You step on a crack, you break your mama's spine... but I don't like to say it because it makes me sad."
Me: "Okay, then don't say it."
Corbin: "And you shouldn't either, Mom, because Nana says her back has been hurting."

Typically when I get upset or at my wits end I call which ever kid I'm trying not to brain by their full name... (eg: "Corbin Bailey Wilson!") Apparently, I say that frequently...
Today Hunter was trying to get my attention and got so upset because I wouldn't answer him, he says:
"Mommy Bailey Wilson! You listening to me?!"

Hunter needed help with his button on his shorts and asked me to help him, so of course, I did. His response:
"Thank you so much Mommy, you're a such a sweet boy."
I must say that a lot too... And I thought he never listened to me.

Conversation with Corbin around 5/17/10
We were going over Corbin's spelling words- using "blew" in a sentence and then "blue" in a sentence.
Me: Spell "blue" like the color blue.
Corbin: Blue is my favorite color...
Me: Yep, I know, now spell blue.
Corbin: B-L-U-E like the color under your eyes
oy.Dane: "... and cool."
Me: LOL!

8-27-10
School is back in session and this year Corbin has started riding the bus. It's super hot in the afternoon, so he is especially sweaty (and admittingly a little stinky in my opinion- not b/o stinky, just sweaty stinky)
Corbin (coming in from the bus): I'm so hot!
Me: Go get a gatorade
He grabs a gatorade and comes over to me by the computer and I realize just how sweaty/stinky he is...
Me: Wow, Corbin you should go change your shirt, you're a little smelly. (I know, I'm so nice)
Corbin: You want to know why?! I had to sit by 2 girls and they got it on me.
Me: LOL!

Woke Hunter up from his nap the other day and I took his hand to walk down the stairs:
Hunter: "Mom, I want to marry you one day"
Me: smiles :)

Sept 1, 2010
Hunter had to go to the bathroom (#2) and needed some help cleaning up, but couldn't stop "going"
Hunter: Someone is in my tummy pushing my poop button because I can't stop going!
Me: LOL! (can't help it, potty talk/humor gets me everytime)
